Dr. Otilia Kocsis

Dr. Otilia Kocsis (female), is a Senior Researcher in the Visualization and Virtual Reality Group, University of Patras. She received her BSc degree in Physics from the University “Al.I. Cuza” Iasi (Romania) in 1996, and the MSc and PhD degrees in Medical Physics from the University of Patras (Greece) in 1998 and 2007, respectively. She has a multidisciplinary experience acquired in academic institutions as well as commercially-oriented organizations. She was actively involved in a large number of IST R&D projects, including GEMINI, AMIGO, POLIAS, MoveOn, PlayMancer, AmiBio, DRYMOS, TELECARE, Cloud4All, Prosperity4All, myAirCoach, OACTIVE, SmartWork. Her general research interests include telemedicine, mHealth, user modelling and profiling, and human computer interaction, currently focusing on application of AI in various domains (e.g. health self-management, work optimization). She is author and co-author of more than 50 publications in international journals, conferences and edited books. She has acted as a reviewer and programme committee member for several conferences and journals.
